At some time most of us have had to deal with crises in our personal lives, but it is not often that we are faced with a crisis of the global proportions such as we are facing now. At this time it could appear that life is unstable and we may feel some anxiety about that.
During these times, keeping calm may require extra effort. Yet it is more important than ever that each of us puts aside the time and space to practise inner peace. We have the choice to spread Faith rather than Fear. It’s up to us to put our faith in Divine Presence and practise peace with compassion and optimism.
We do not want to be foolish, forward planning and sensible preparation is important. But, there is a point when we must release intellectual chatter and worry, and let go of our tendency to try to control that which we cannot control.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus invites us to look towards the behaviour of the birds,
‘Look at the birds of the air:
they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them……..’
– Matthew 6:26
I invite you to join with others in this prayer:
‘We know that God is a Love that has no end and a Power that knows no bounds. God’s healing power of Divine Life is restoring, healing, and revitalizing our world in this very moment. We let go of any fears or anxieties, and we affirm that all are safe, healthy, and protected. We bless all those who support us in maintaining vibrant radiant health. We express Divine Life in all we think, say, and do. We bless our global family with radiant health, peace of mind, and abundant love.’ — Reverend Patricia Bass
